Spring
Trees budding and wild flowers blooming bring the fragrance and new colors of Spring. In the early months, you can expect temperatures in the 30’s and 40’s. Late Spring can bring clear blue skies and highs in the 70’s. Nights are cool with temperatures in the 50’s.
Summer
Minnesota summers are generally warm and sunny. Temperatures in and around Duluth and the Lake Superior area can range from the 60’s to the 90’s. The average summer temperature is 77 degrees. Nights can be cool and a light jacket or sweatshirt is sometimes needed.

Fall
Green foliage gives way to the harvest colors of autumn. Indian summers are common with September temperatures that can reach the 70’s and 80’s. Late Fall brings temperatures in the 30’s and 40’s. There is nothing more special than a Thanksgiving in Minnesota.
Winter
While Minnesota winters can be cold and snowy, they provide an abundance of outdoor activities and colors beyond the white of the snow. It also provides plenty of reasons for a warm fire or a hot sauna on a crisp, Northwoods winter day. Temperatures can range the 20’s and at times, drop below zero. Warm coats, hats, boots and gloves are essential.
