Guests from across America and Europe have visited the solitude of Soleil Pines. We are located approximately 10 miles north from downtown Duluth, Minnesota and 2 miles west of Lake Superior (we are not located on a lake).

Travel to Soleil Pines on a convenient flight into the Duluth International Airport (DLH), or take the scenic route and plan a road-trip from wherever you live.

Interstate 35 becomes Minnesota Highway 61 (Expressway) North (Bob Dylan named his 1965 release for this highway). Follow the shore of Lake Superior, north approximately 7 miles to McDonnell Rd. Turn left and follow a gravel road approximately 0.7 miles and look for the Soleil Pines sign on your left.

Soleil Pines is easy to find, but we recommend using Google Maps or Mapquest for specific directions from your location.
Minneapolis:
An easy 2-3/4 hour trip from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Follow Interstate 35 North approximately 132 miles into Duluth (if you get hungry or the kids get anxious, make a pit-stop at Toby’s in Hinckley). I-35N becomes Minnesota Highway 61 in Duluth. Follow the shore of Lake Superior on Highway 61 (Expressway), north approximately 7 miles to McDonnell Rd. Turn left and follow a gravel road approximately 0.7 miles and look for the Soleil Pines sign on your left.
Chicago:
An 8-1/2 hour road trip from Illinois, across the great state of Wisconsin and into Minnesota. Take I-90 West/I-94 West toward O’Hare/Rockford and cross into Wisconsin. Take I-94 West toward Eau Claire/St. Paul. Merge onto US-53 North/S. Hastings Way toward Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls. Take the WI-312/North Crossing exit toward I-94 West. Turn Right onto WI-312 E/North Crossing. Merge onto US-53 North via the ramp on the left, crossing into Minnesota. Merge onto I-35 north and proceed into Duluth. I-35N becomes Minnesota Highway 61. Follow the shore of Lake Superior on Highway 61 (Expressway), north approximately 7 miles to McDonnell Rd. Turn left and follow a gravel road approximately 0.7 miles and look for the Soleil Pines sign on your left.
